SKI SAFARI PHOTOS NO. 9

Etosha, Namibia

We stayed for 2 nights at Ongava Lodge, in a private concession but made one Game Drive around part of the Etosha Park itself.  We were rather overwhelmed by the number of vehicles, from cars to buses, and the game was scarce.  It was very hot and dry.  The highlight of the day was watching a Honey Badger near the salt pan.

Also by the salt pan were some Oryx - such majestic animals!

We also saw a rhino hidden in the bush, a few ostrich and a lonely lion who didn't move a muscle as a group of zebra wandered past him!

A couple of views of the salt pan - from alongside and from above when we flew over it.

Next...surprises at the waterhole in front of the Ongava Lodge
